Behind Juxi are two visionary female Lebanese serial entrepreneurs, Maya and Najat. With over 25 years of navigating the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, they bring a wealth of experience, insights, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of small businesses. Alongside them is our CTO Sar, an MIT Senior DevOps Engineer with over 20 years of IT expertise, forms the backbone of Juxi.
A multidisciplinary architect and designer, with over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship and scaling up of small business, managing companies in the graphic design and digital fields.
Maya is currently pursuing her PhD. Her research focuses on Knowledge Mobilization strategies to help small businesses integrate Generative AI, to help them with their growth. Maya has been honored to receive the following awards: the 2006 British Council’s Young Design Entrepreneur of the Year for Lebanon, 35 under 35 Global Women Entrepreneurs award in 2007 and “Rising Talent” by the Women’s Forum in France in 2008.
Maya is an active member of the Lebanese and Arab entrepreneurship ecosystem, and is a founding member of member LWAF (Lebanese Women Angel Fund), the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Pan Arab Region, and LLWB (Lebanese League of Women in Business).
Maya's commitment to diversity and inclusivity, especially for women in business, is reflected in Juxi's vision. She envisions a future where AI-driven solutions break barriers, providing affordable and cutting-edge technology to small businesses, regardless of their size or industry.
As a serial entrepreneur Najat has over 25 years of experience in leading communication and media roles, digital transformation and content monetization. She acted as a communication & media advisor to several ministries across GCC (Arab Gulf countries). She also led regional and international complex media projects across the Middle East and Europe.
Najat Rizk is a winner of Harvard’s Michael Porter All World Program award for the fastest growing company and as the highest intensity serial woman entrepreneur for two consecutive years. In 2019, she received the “Exceptional Women of Excellence” award from the Women Economic Forum (WEF). She is a member of renowned international media platforms, including the international Emmys jury.
Najat is a frequent speaker on Entrepreneurship and Media. She is a visiting professor at the American University of Beirut (AUB), the American University of Dubai (AUD) and Saint Joseph University in Lebanon.
Najat is a passionate advocate for Entrepreneurship and Women empowerment and inclusiveness. She is an active member of the Lebanese League for Women in Business, a founding member of LWAF (Lebanese Women Angel Fund) and a member at the Virtual Advisory Board (VAB).
Sar is currently a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Office of Open Learning at MIT participating in the design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of some of the most exciting teaching, learning, and data platforms that support the mission of Open Learning. Prior to his current role he held multiple IT managerial positions leading teams in implementing endpoint management solutions in higher education.
